The impact Cindy made is not down to just one single event or thing she did; it was ALL the things she did, from caring not only for me but for my son, husband, and parents.
Cindy went above and beyond what you would want to have as a nurse who is taking care of a family. My grandson J has cerebral palsy and can't talk. She talked to him and back and forth between her other patients, talking to him, making sure he knew what she was doing so, apologizing to him for talking so loud, giving him medicine, and keeping him calm and warm with a blanket even though he couldn't respond back! Calling him bud and buddy.

From the moment I was carted into the doors of the Emergency Room at Medical City Arlington, Cindy made an impact. Her focus on my care was clear, and the way her focus was demonstrated made me feel like the only patient in the ER that day. The impact Cindy made is not down to just one single event or thing she did; it was ALL the things she did, from caring not only for me but for my son, husband, and parents.
Not only was Cindy knowledgeable as a nurse, but she also showcased her leadership skills. Those leadership skills directly contributed to my receiving safe and quality care from beginning to end. The two strengths that define a "high-quality nurse" are integrity and advocacy. Cindy demonstrated both. She had a strong moral compass in her decision-making while also providing care with integrity and a focus on being my advocate. She, without a doubt, made decisions with my best interest in mind.
Cindy, I cannot thank you enough for being part of my journey! I truly can't. You not only took care of me, but you also CARED for me, and that is a remarkable gift for you to continue to carry. Keep making an impact on all of those around you, and don't ever doubt that you do. It would be silly to say you only impact patients. I believe you impact not only your patients but also your peers, friends, family, strangers, etc.
