Lilia makes every visit special. The first time my baby wore a shirt was because she took the time out to figure out how we going to play dress up.
I have a daughter who is now 2 months old and has been in the NICU since birth, waiting on a heart transplant. When my baby was born, I wasn’t able to hold her, and Lilia gave me the best Christmas ever, which was to hold her for the first time for an hour, and it was the best gift ever. She is informative about my child's condition. This nurse walks me through everything she is doing to my daughter while taking care of her, and she is caring. She is loving, shows so much compassion, and is an advocate for my daughter. She goes above and beyond. I live 2 hours away from the hospital, and when she is the nurse on duty, I’m always comfortable. I always feel honored and blessed to have her care for my daughter. She sings and plays with my daughter, tries new things with her, sits her up, and exercises her arms.

Lilia makes every visit special. The first time my baby wore a shirt was because she took the time out to figure out how we would play dress up. I have never been able to dress her, and for the most part, she is bedridden and she doesn’t have much entertainment. I have bought her some crib attachments, and Lilia makes sure she puts them to use. This nurse doesn’t just try to keep her sleeping. She literally says, "No, no, no, let’s play, let’s chat, let’s move around." This nurse brings me to tears all the time, but they are always the happiest tears. This situation is draining and overwhelming, with my daughter's condition by far the hardest and saddest thing I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. I’m learning as I go and coping as best as I can, but it’s nurses like her that help ease the pain and the worry. She is one of the best nurses I’ve ever met, and I wish I could thank her way more than by just saying yes. I also feel she is an amazing role model for the other nurses as well.
