Lauren Vargas Provided me with excellent care. She was compassionate and kind to me and my family as well as extremely knowledgeable. She was with me throughout my delivery day and C-section. She also took care of me the day after I had my baby. While doing screening tests on my baby prior to discharge she felt that something just wasn't right. She repeated the test and got the neonatologist Involved because she was concerned, even though my baby was presenting healthy, happy, and normal. This led to my baby ultimately needing to go to the NICU due to low oxygen and low glucose. My baby was immediately put on a high flow nasal cannula after arriving to NICU, received a septic work up, and had a feeding tube placed. While all this was shocking as a first-time mom, it was her excellence that led to the best outcome for my baby. She took time to check on me in the following days and checked on me and my baby after I was discharged and over in the NICU with my baby. We have spent over a week in the NICU, which no mother wants, but I feel Lauren played a pivotal role in escalating care in a very timely manner and got my baby the help she needed. I truly felt cared for, and she is an excellent nurse.
