Kim Bauman has worked at Mather Hospital for 25 years and is currently a Clinical Nurse Educator who consistently demonstrates professionalism and is passionate in her role on the night shift. Kim is a champion for all staff. She is a mentor and a role model, demonstrating the highest level of humanistic care and empathy while exhibiting and teaching patient-centered care.

Kim provided care to a patient in the Emergency Department. This was not just any patient but the daughter of one of our beloved Nurse Practitioners. There was never any hesitation in Kim's role in assisting and partnering in the delivery of care to guide practice and share her knowledge and expertise. Kim further assisted in the care delivery by accompanying the patient and transport team to the next level of care. Kim did not hesitate to work with the healthcare team and continued to care for the patient during a difficult time. Kim’s dedication to the organization and patient care is outstanding every day and was exemplified in this situation, making her a true DAISY Nurse.
