Thank you, Amy. You’re an angel. You make life worth living again.
Amy exhibits all 5 of the ICARE values. I do not know how to explain everything she does because she does so very much. I’ll try to explain. She called me on the phone, introduced herself, and explained her job and how she could and would help me.

Let me explain the situation at the time she called me. I was having a horrible time. That’s putting it lightly. I have suffered three heart attacks plus a minor stroke. I live in an assisted living home, and I was not receiving very good treatment. I was depressed. My experience in Vietnam has left me in a state of depression caused by PTSD, which has made having a normal relationship impossible. I started having problems at home. My wife and I separated after 21 years. I was devastated!

I have been a 100% SC disabled US Navy Veteran for many years. During that time, I have worked as a volunteer most of the time. However, during that time, to get the things I needed to survive, I often had to call my federal congressman, representative, or senator to get what my doctors said I required. Since meeting Amy, I have become much older and have a lot of problems that my military service has exasperated, but having her cut through red tape has made things easier. Amy always knows just who to call and, most importantly, has to go about actually getting in touch with the right people. She can and does talk to people I am restricted from talking to and gets it done very fast.

Thank you, Amy. You’re an angel. You make life worth living again. I don’t know how to repay you, but you’re the kindest person I know at this stage of my life.
