Danielle was filled with compassion and kindness. Her follow-through, patience, tenacity, and accuracy were spot on. I don't know what I would have done without her help navigating through this experience.
Danielle is very compassionate and showed deep concern for my well-being.  Having empathy for my situation, she ensured I was being well taken care of.  She went above and beyond, working with my previous doctors and gathering information to assist with the psychiatrist, neurologists, and gastrologists. I was brought to the wing after life-threatening surgery - self-inflicted.  After nearly 8 months of agonizing and debilitating abdominal pain, I decided to end my agony.

My daughter struggles with addiction. Recently, she was seriously injured and was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. After her surgery, my daughter screamed, yelled, was hateful and refused to let the nurses help her or check her wounds. My daughter had horrific hallucinations. Danielle never flinched or missed a beat, no matter what my daughter did. Danielle walked us through the entire process of helping my daughter, including finding and printing papers for us to seek guardianship. She worked with drug clinics to provide fax numbers, gathered papers for other hospital staff members to help with placement, and more. She took our phone calls and helped us navigate emotions and fear. Danielle was our go-between with doctors and case managers. Isn't that amazing? What a human being. Beyond that, our experience with Danielle was filled with compassion and kindness. Her follow-through, patience, tenacity, and accuracy were spot on. I don't know what I would have done without her help navigating through this experience. Danielle did so much more than work with a patient with horrible pain or injuries. Her heart went out to my daughter, me, and my husband. As days passed and my daughter calmed down, Danielle worked to get the tangles out of her hair. She told us what we needed to buy, i.e., deodorant, her favorite snacks, a brush, and detangling spray for her hair. Even under these circumstances, she showed grace, dignity, and patience. Danielle is truly an angel. I know that there are many families that may not fill out a form like this for Danielle, but those families and patients are there. I fully believe her patients and their family members are treated as wonderfully and kindly as we were. I am still in shock from all the above-described events. My words do not convey what Danielle meant to us through this process.
