Silvina’s natural instinct is to ensure her roles and responsibilities meet the golden standards set by her institution. No matter what challenges come, Silvina has the ability to overcome a complex situation to meet that standard.
Silvina goes above and beyond for her patients. She has a heart of gold and is always in a room to help anyone in need. When my friend was in the hospital, she took the time to take care of him and made sure all was okay. She was patient and kind. She is a team player and always makes sure she gives the best care possible. My friend’s wife was so appreciative of her as well. She’s a great nurse and deserves this award.

I have known Silvina since she was in nursing school. Her highest priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient. One specific example that I can think about is the time when Silvina was working back to back schedule four straight days and few on calls with over night shifts. Even though she was feeling a little tired with the continuous assignments, she stayed late to ensure the detailed patient documentation was completed prior to signing off. Silvina’s natural instinct is to ensure her roles and responsibilities meet the golden standards set by her institution. No matter what challenges come, Silvina has the ability to overcome a complex situation to meet that standard. This is just one example out of the countless situations I’ve seen Silvia thrive and I proudly nominate her for The DAISY Award. A successful employee is not just a person who checks the box in terms of tasks assigned but being a positive influence by setting an example around them. Silvina’s ability to manage this expectation uniquely makes her a true DAISY Nurse.

Silvina is a very dedicated nurse who goes the extra mile to perform her job without any hesitation. She is always passionate about what she does and never complains about back to back night shift works. She is a very kind hearted and very talented nurse who is capable of doing all the tasks quite effectively & efficiently.

I had the opportunity to teach Silvina when she was a nursing student. Her passion for the career was palpable. During her preceptorship rotation, her clinical instructor reported that she was so empathetic and caring with her clients. She is the epitome of an excellent nurse who is not afraid to get hands-on with her clients.

Silvina has shown patients, family members, and coworkers, such as myself, how to display such wonderful care and a compassionate skill set. She has gone out of her way on many occasions to help in any way that she possibly can. I was assigned to a trauma case. Silvina was on orientation, and I saw the look and compassion in her eyes, and she really wanted to help. She was willing to lend a helping hand and also willing to learn. She came in and did a phenomenal job assisting me with this trauma situation that I was assigned to. She took the initiative without me asking for help. Silvina has displayed a noble heart and compassion for patients, family members, and co-workers and is just a great team player. Silvina amplified the kind of nurse that patients, love ones, and staff recognize as an outstanding role model.
