I am honored to nominate Ann Finnegan for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition that celebrates excellence, dedication, and compassion in nursing. I have had the pleasure of working with Ann for over 20 years. Throughout Ann’s illustrious career, Ann has exemplified the very essence of what it means to be a nurse, tirelessly serving with humor, compassion, and unwavering dedication. No one advocates for their patient more than Ann. No one gives care better than Ann, which includes a bed bath, hair washing, and foot soak.  No one makes their patients and coworkers laugh more than Ann. No one makes ME laugh more than Ann.

As Ann prepares to embark on the next chapter of her life, it is only fitting to reflect on the countless lives she has touched and the impact she has made on so many lives. She has added so much comedic relief during challenging and demanding days when it was oh so needed.

What truly sets Ann apart is her unparalleled commitment to providing exceptional care to every patient she encounters. Ann possesses an extraordinary ability to connect with patients and families on a personal level, easing their fears and bringing comfort during their most vulnerable moments. Ann’s unique blend of humor and compassion has not only enriched the lives of patients but is an inspiration to her coworkers.
