Cheyanne was my daughter's nurse when we had to take her to the ED recently. My daughter has had several ED visits for her recurring health issues. However, I am confident in saying that Cheyanne's care was quite possibly the best nursing care that my daughter has ever received in an ER or otherwise. She was calm, courteous, respectful, and always positive. She was adamantly willing to advocate for us when we had questions and concerns about how to proceed with the work up. She always had my daughter's best interest at heart and that never wavered. She was such a good steward of resources as well and always tried to make sure she only used what was necessary to make sure all the labs/tests got done while also keeping my daughter comfortable. That is such a hard balance to maintain in a healthcare environment, especially the ED. Cheyanne even gave my daughter a little doll that she had knitted/crocheted herself to try to comfort her. It was such a heartwarming gesture that I will likely never forget. This was way above her scope of care, and we appreciated it so very much. ER visits are always stressful on us as a family, but having a nurse around like Cheyanne created a bright, positive spot that helped us get through this visit much easier. The world needs more caring, high-quality nurses like Cheyanne!
