Amy Bormann was incredible & a total rock star at our recent birth experience. We were able to have Amy as our nurse for the birth of both of our children & we are so grateful for her positive energy, comfort & encouragement. At our recent birth our baby made her way into the world in a hurry! So much so that I wasn't able to receive the medication through the epidural that was being placed when my water broke & I immediately felt the urge to push. Amy stayed super calm & jumped into fast action getting the room ready for delivery & getting all other staff to the room quickly all while explaining what was happening & letting me know in a supportive & comforting way that I would be delivering this baby without medication. From the time my water broke to the time the baby made her arrival was a mere 11 minutes. The amount of stuff Amy accomplished in those 11 minutes was nothing short of miraculous, all the while coming back to hold my hand & help hold my legs through the six contracts while I literally screamed in pain. Not to mention helping me breathe & reminding me to relax between the contractions. Afterwards, despite my screaming, Amy was so kind & encouraging, complementing how well I did & how in control I was. Amy went above & beyond ensuring that I was as comfortable, informed & empowered as possible. We are so grateful for Amy's great care. Her patients & this organization are so lucky to have her!
