JoJo- My son's Hero. My 10-year-old has had three surgeries in the past year. He has recently experienced great anxiety about having his IV placed. As his mom, I advocated for my son and requested the numbing cream before the IV was started. From the moment he entered our room, JoJo was more than I could have hoped or prayed for, for my son and our family. JoJo was excellent, provided personalized care, called us by name, shared his medical background, and was warm, friendly, and a parent himself. His kindness and compassion were beyond exceptional.

JoJo was an answered prayer for my momma heart today. I know the demanding job, and I am sure you hear complaints and wishes. But today- every need was met with the absolute [best] nursing care. Should we ever need to return, I would ask for JoJo. Any patient/family who gets to have JoJo as their nurse is greatly blessed. Because of his kindness, compassion, encouragement, and strong nursing skills (IV 1st time- Yay!!) JoJo is an excellent candidate for The DAISY Award. I'm thankful to see our story of true excellence in nursing! God Bless.
