I was in the hospital for a 6-hour stay. I had an aneurysm and had to lie flat on my back for 6 hours afterward. I was not looking forward to that because I do have a bad back and they were taking me to the floor for recovery.

Previously, I had a bad experience there, and when I found out I was being sent there again, I was very nervous I would get the same treatment again. But wow was I surprised when I met my nurse, Brittany Heckler!

She is probably the best nurse I have ever had! First, her personality was so wonderful! She was so kind, so helpful, and so cheery. Just the kind of nurse you want to have when facing an unpleasant recovery period.

She maintained a professional attitude with an air of confidence that was very comforting. Her kind words and responses were so appreciated. She is the epitome of what a nurse should be. 

Because Brittany was my nurse, after the dreadful time that I had previously, she has restored my confidence in St. Margaret Hospital. The short time spent here this time was so much more positive. The nursing assistant during this time and the nurse that followed were the same as Brittany! They followed her lead in being an amazing & caring team. This is what motivated me to write this and take the time to make sure this nomination gets submitted for such a deserving nurse, Brittany!
