I miss my baby terribly, talking to Ariana about my child and sharing pictures of my baby with her and her sharing stories about her own child and hardships really made me feel at ease.
I was admitted for gallbladder attacks, later to find out I would need surgery for a removal. When I first came to this floor I was in a shared room, this caused me a lot of anxiety and the rooming situation was just not ideal, later I was on the move to another room, when the transporter paused and was told to put me in a private room by Ariana, this was a huge relief. I, for the most part of my stay, was alone, scared, and overwhelmed. Ariana was a god sent, she took the time to talk to me and ask me what was going on, this helped big time, she was extremely comforting. I recently gave birth and am 10 weeks PP, I miss my baby terribly, talking to Ariana about my child and sharing pictures of my baby with her and her sharing stories about her own child and hardships really made me feel at ease. At the end of her shift, she came in and told me she was leaving and would be back in the morning. She comforted me once again before going to sleep. The next day before surgery, she came in to tell me it was time. I immediately started crying; she put her hand on my shoulder and let me cry for a second before getting up. I left, and she wished me luck; as we neared the end of the hall, she was standing there and said, “I’ll see you when you get back,” and that made everything 10x better, knowing she would be waiting for me when I got back as I was alone during the morning. Ariana has been the sweetest nurse I’ve encountered during my entire stay. She is truly a blessing, and I’m so grateful she chose to be a nurse because she is amazing, and she was truly born for this role.
