Kristin was my father-in-law's nurse during his stay in the ICU. There are not enough words that I can say to fully explain what Kristin meant to our family. Not only did she treated my father-in-law as a patient, but also as a person. She was a huge support for our entire family. She answered every question we had as honestly and forthcoming as she could. She recognized when we were struggling and did everything she could to make a horrible situation better. She took time to ask us about who he was as a person, father, grandfather, and husband. When we asked if there was a way to make a recording of his heartbeat to do something for his grandchildren, she found a way to make it happen. She was a comforting presence for us in his last moments. I wish there were more nurses like Kristin. She is truly a wonderful, compassionate, and caring asset to the ICU.
