I want to recognize this very special Christina who saved my mom’s life!

I took my mom to the hospital because she kept urinating, had a fever, and was very weak. They discovered a serious urinary tract infection that went to her kidneys.
By the time my mom got admitted to the 5th floor, she was acting strange, seeing things, burning up and weak. This is when I met this beautiful nurse, Christina. My mom was pretty sick at that time, and her kidney infection went into sepsis. Christina could see immediately that my mom was very sick and needed immediate attention. She called the doctor right away. Because of her quick actions, she, along with the amazing doctor, Dr. R, saved my mom's life! Dr. R came in, assessed my mom, and said those other antibiotics did not work and my mom was really sick. He immediately ordered “big gun” antibiotics.

Both Dr. R and Christina worked together quickly to get my mom set up. The doctor assured me he would be outside the door at the desk, and Christina also reassured me, “I am not going to leave your mom’s side until I know she’s OK!” Once my mom was out of the woods, Christina continued to give my mom exceptional care! She is the most kind, caring, supportive, and uplifting nurse I have ever seen in my life! She went above and beyond and because of her, my mom is home getting better every day!
