Tangela Speight had been working with a patient who had a new ostomy, and the patient was struggling to come to terms with it. The patient wouldn’t look at it, much less participate in the hands-on changing on the appliance initially. Tangela demonstrated compassion and patience toward this patient time and time again resulting in the patient participating in their care. This is just one example of many that I have observed of Tangela providing exceptional patient care. Seeing the patient as a whole, meeting them where they are at in their recovery, and walking the journey with them.
