As Desiree was leaving work, she came across an elderly lady struggling to get into the hospital due to her own disability. She asked for directions to the unit she was trying to reach to visit her mother from other staff who pointed her in the direction. Desiree approached the visitor, got her a wheelchair, and then proceeded to push her up to her mother’s room. She then returned the wheelchair to the person she borrowed it from, all after working a long shift in the neurology clinic. I have never seen another nurse show so much dedication to not only her patients but to strangers in need.
