I am a nurse manager and when making rounds today a veteran was telling me about the excellent care she had received. Specifically she wanted to nominate Caroline Sloan for her time she took to care for this veteran. She told Caroline that her hair was a mess and she felt greasy. She said Caroline took her time with cleaning and getting tangles out of her hair. She said she listened to me and her excellence for caring was beyond compare. She said she hadn’t felt human in days till Caroline sat with her and made sure all her needs were met. She talked and asked about her husband and grandkids. She asked about her home needs and what challenges she might face. She just kept saying how excellent she was.
