Erin was amazing! She went above and beyond. My son was declining on her shift and she pretty much stayed in our room the entire time assessing him & suctioning him. She was a huge advocate for him and had NPs at the bedside to assess things she thought were problematic. She brought up my concerns for me because I was stressed out & emotional. She also questioned the NPs based on my thoughts. She was so empathetic & she could tell I was overwhelmed watching my son decline again. She could tell I needed rest and made the bed for me, brought me snacks & tea and told me to lay down and get some sleep and that she had everything under control. I trusted her so much. She was a great communicator. She told me everything she was doing to help my son & updated me on changes and reviewed his care plan and what changes they were making to help make him better. She was so heartfelt, and you could tell she was able to put herself in my shoes as a mom. I felt a special connection with Erin because she took such good care of my son and there is nothing as a mother that I appreciate more than that. Thank you, Erin, for being such a great RN, we are so thankful for you!!
