Words cannot express how eternally grateful my family and I are for the help, support, and most of all the kindness Danuta gave to my grandmother. The glow in the eyes of my grandmother when she saw Danuta, even while in pain, was beautiful. She made her feel comfortable and safe. Danuta had the best energy even though it was night shift. She went above and beyond to help my grandma through everything. She made her forget about why she was even in the hospital! Every night while she took care of our mother/grandmother, Danuta would encourage us to relax and to get some sleep. Even though Danuta did not speak the same language as my grandmother, she still felt reassurance from Danuta and called her a friend. She came to her shift with so much energy and enthusiasm. She always tried to make my grandma laugh. The last night we had with Danuta, she jokingly told my grandmother to use the call light, and like a boyfriend, she will be there right away and do whatever she needs. We will never forget the kindness and support. We are eternally grateful.
