Her warm personality, her encouraging words, and her evident passion for her field showed through in every interaction we had with her.
Being first-time parents is scary- there’s so much to learn, so much information being thrown at you, and a tiny human that depends on you for everything. To say it’s one of the most amazing yet most overwhelming times of your life is the best way I can think to sum it up! My husband and I firmly believe that God let’s everything happen for a reason, and when we were told our baby boy’s bilirubin count was high and we would have to stay at least one more night we were disappointed but knew God had a plan for this. And wow, did He! This is when we met one of the most amazing nurses- Mrs. Pamela Charrier.

Mrs. Pam has the most kind and compassionate way about her. Her warm personality, her encouraging words, and her evident passion for her field showed through in every interaction we had with her. She has a way of making you feel like you will be the best parent- something that I think all new parents should be encouraged to feel when you’re just figuring everything out. She made us feel supported and loved during our stay, and she extended this to our families as well! She took time with us to make sure we felt confident about breastfeeding and pumping, even cheering me on as I went through those rough, painful first few days of that journey. She honestly taught us more in our few days with her than we ever learned in our months of research on our own!

Mrs. Pam was courteous and thoughtful while we were so sad being separated from our baby during his stay under the light. She secured him a spot right in front of the window facing our hospital room so we could see our baby from our window- truly going above and beyond! She took time to even snap a few pictures of him for us for our memories, assuring us we wouldn’t want to forget a thing- and she was right! She took time with us during every transition, every update, and every feeding to make sure we understood what was being done for our baby and why, which gave us so much peace of mind in his care. Her passion for her career and her field of work is so evident in her actions and her joy! I wish every new mom could have a Mrs. Pam- we would all be more confident in this new adventure!
