I am writing to nominate Ms. Joicy in recognition of her exceptional dedication and compassion in the Medical and Oncology Ward over the past two years.

Throughout her tenure, Ms. Joicy has demonstrated outstanding commitment to her patients, consistently going above and beyond to provide excellent care and support. Her ability to handle various types of patients with ease is truly commendable, reflecting her professionalism and empathy.

One particular instance that stands out is her care for A, a cancer patient who arrived at the ward burdened with pain, stress, and anxiety about her treatment. With her relatives unable to stay, A found herself alone. The patient has gone through a depressive mode due to the pain and insecurity due to the family issues and the disease process. Ms. Joisey was on the night shift. When she took a round in the patient's room, A was crying loudly. Joisey encouraged her to share her feelings. She spent more than two hours with the patient and gave counselling which developed an emotional bond between them. As per the A , Ms. Joisey came there as an angel and wiped her sorrow away. Ms. Joisey's presence was a source of immense relief. Her compassionate attitude, unwavering support, and comforting demeanor significantly eased A's journey, especially during the challenging period of chemotherapy.

As per the patient request Joisey stayed back after her night shift until her discharge. Due to her encouragement, A called her family and expressed her apology for the problems that happened in her family because of her. The next day morning, her family came to the hospital and expressed their gratitude towards Ms.Joisey and the nursing team.

Moreover, Ms. Joisey's dedication to her role extends beyond her scheduled shifts. She consistently responds to duty calls promptly, without complaint, and often stays back after hours to ensure that all tasks, especially crucial documentation, are completed without fail.
