My 69-year-old father is in the ICU after a heart bypass and aortic valve replacement. My father developed complications from his lungs due to being a smoker his whole life. Dad took a turn for the worst, and my mother and I were scared. We didn’t know how to react or what to do. 

Richard was patient and took his time explaining every single tube, IV, etc., that was in my father. Richard called us at any update. He became active and involved. He would reassure us of every medical/ meds that was assigned to my father. He listened to our concerns and knew how to comfort us.

My father has sisters and brothers who get angry/nervous at hospitals. We gave Richard a heads-up. He handled them with such professionalism. He knew what to say and how to say it, listened to their concerns, and was able to calm/reassure everyone. WOW! That is going above and beyond for the family. 

We would like to thank Richard for going above and beyond with his positive attitude and excellent bedside manner. He even had a day off and still came in to work just for my father. Thank you. We appreciate you in every light.
