We had the pleasure of having Katie as our nurse when we first got admitted to the Labor and Delivery unit during night shift and then she returned the next night to be our nurse again. We were happy to have Katie as our nurse because she went above and beyond with our patient care. She took her time to explain things, never rushed, showed my husband how to change a dirty diaper, and how to swaddle our newborn since we were first time parents. I had an emergency c-section and Katie was there every step of the way from the L&D unit to the OR, and to the Mother and Baby unit. Katie took care of me so well, and I was able to ambulate on my own 9 hours after surgery. Whenever Katie entered the room, her presence felt more like a friend rather than a stranger because of her calm, caring, and positive attitude. Additionally, she always made sure we were well taken care of and she was very supportive of our needs. She responded to our call light in a timely manner and she is so efficient that she would beat the IV pump machine before it would start beeping. We were taken care of so well by Katie; she respected our culture and values and she made us feel safe. Thank you for being so supportive and listening to our needs during our stay. We would love to have Katie again as our nurse in the future.
