I had the pleasure of meeting Meghan on Friday around 8pm. My husband had spent the previous 6 hours in the ER. They thought it was necessary to send him to the ICU, which was exactly what needed to happen. When we were allowed back into the ICU, we were greeted by the most friendly, confident, kind (and really cute, I might add) nurse. Her name was Meghan. She quickly got us up to speed on what was going on with my husband and what they had already done for him. She had wonderful eye contact. She had a very calm and caring presence. She was very willing to listen to all of my questions. She was very knowledgeable and very reassuring. She encouraged me to go home and rest. She told me she'd keep a close eye on him. And she must have - Saturday morning, she called to let me know how the night went. She knew she'd be gone before I got back to the ICU. I thought that was so very kind of her. I was prepared when I got back to the ICU. Meghan is excellent at what she does, and you can tell she takes her role very seriously - well done!!
