Before delivering at UNC Rex, I delivered my last child at a different hospital eight years ago. I had a traumatic birth experience and was not satisfied with my postpartum care. 

I chose UNC Rex based on positive reviews, and I am so happy I did. It had been eight years since I had a newborn, and I was very anxious. I went into labor at 38 weeks and had a very fast delivery. I was not prepared! 

Luckily, I was greeted by Anaiah, my Postpartum night nurse. She was fresh-faced, upbeat, and so welcoming. She had the most warm and bright energy. She really made me feel at peace. She was so wonderful with my baby. She was gentle and loving and explained everything she was doing. She made sure she explained what to expect and even explained our vitals. Anaiah was never rushed or seemed bothered by any of my questions. Anaiah even burped my baby when she noticed she had a little spit-up when doing her vitals. It was obvious Anaiah is extremely knowledgeable about all things labor delivery and postpartum.

I love that my baby was able to stay in the room for all tests.  She is perfect for her postpartum role. I know she makes other moms feel as peaceful, comfortable, and welcomed as I did. It is obvious Anaiah always gives the best care to all her patients. She goes above and beyond for her recovering moms.
