She is very conscious of the safety of the patients we take care of and of the students in her care.
This instructor is special because she has a way of helping you recognize your mistakes and help you grow from them. She is very conscious of the safety of the patients we take care of and of the students in her care. We have to park a little ways from our clinical experience and she has us all walk in together and walk out together. She keeps us informed and updated about any safety issues that may come to pass. As a clinical instructor she reached out when there was a safety concern at the hospital we go to, it was not on our day but she made she we all knew what happened, talked to us about the incident and made sure we were all comfortable with our clinical assignment.
It is so hard to put into words how much of an impact this instructor has on her students. I know it's not just me because several of the students in my clinical group have already said very similar things. For me specifically, she has helped me reach for confidence that I was lacking. She gives great feedback on clinical paperwork; when she points out something I need to improve on, she also gives an example of how to improve it. She is very responsive if I have a question about clinical paperwork. You can see she truly wants to see the student succeed. Really, there are just not enough words to describe how she helps all of us at clinical. I am so grateful for her mentorship.
