Recently as a patient, I had the good fortune to be treated in your PACU. It was truly an experience I shall not forget! Your nursing staff was so absolutely outstanding and attentive. There are two nurses that remain in my "favorite" category; a sweet young nurse by the name of Emily and an absolutely fabulous nurse whose name was Autumn, even though I thought your message board called her August. The sensational qualities that these gals demonstrated gave me the courage to make every effort in the "getting well" category at a much better pace than I would have normally been able to demonstrate! Each of them was exemplary in motivating and urging me to do what is necessary to speed my recovery from the dreaded cancer removal procedure! Due to Autumn's wonderful zesty personality and sense of humor, we laughed and laughed each time we were in the same proximity, so I requested she be my nurse again when she returned after two days off. As everyone knows, laughter is the best medicine, and I really experienced that firsthand! Emily and I bonded over early childhood education as I had related to her my twelve-year experience volunteering in a kinder and first-grade classroom that my granddaughter was teaching at the time. I shared with Emily how I happened to have the good fortune to be invited to read to the kinders on Dr. Seuss's birthday. I gave Emily a list of wonderful kinder and first grade books for her to share with her darlings, which made me very happy!
