She always enters the room with a smile on her face and genuinely seems like she cares about our well being, outside of our medical issues.
With my husband having Parkinson’s, along with a handful of other medical issues, and myself diabetic with Rheumatoid Arthritis, we spend our fair share of time at many different medical offices. Because of this, I know how rare it is to come across someone that is so passionate about their work and so wonderful at patient experience. No matter what comes up, Michelle is always there to help figure out what is going on, facilitate a plan of attack everyone is comfortable with, and follow up even if we get sent on to a different medical facility. She always enters the room with a smile on her face and genuinely seems like she cares about our well being, outside of our medical issues. I could share a story from each of our visits, but the most recent one was when my husband was in for a pre-op physical. During this time, his labs were coming back all over the place, and the numbers didn’t make sense. Michelle knows we are from out of town and how difficult it is to coordinate multiple tests and scans. She came up with a plan to walk him to the ER so he could get all the tests needed that day to get to the bottom of things ASAP, wheeling him over herself and then following up after. Because of these reasons, and so many more I know I’m forgetting to list, I feel Michelle is more than deserving of the DAISY Award.
