I could tell she loved her job and was there for her patients. She emanates a strong caring, concerned, and passionate attitude.
Tabitha Ferranti has shown this 71 year old man that she is very concerned about my condition, she has gone above and beyond any expectations of a nurse's duties. About 7 years ago when I was in my early 60’s I was working as a clerk for the USPS working 10-12 hour shifts. My feet began to bother me badly. They hurt awful. I decided to go to my PCP, he sent me for a test and they determined that I had neuropathy which I inherited from my grandmother and mother. After about 4 to 5 years into my postal career, the pain was bad. So back to the PCP and he referred me to pain management. Everything was going ok till I turned 65 and went on medicare. I was put on pain meds for my condition. I had an appointment with the Dr and he sent my script in. The pharmacy notified me that my insurance denied my order. I called APD and got passed around to different staff, finally a nurse got on and I told her my problem and she said she will take care of it. All goes well for 3 months and again insurance denies my meds. Called APD and got shuffled around again. I finally got a nurse. I tell her of my problem and she tells me that I should have called her directly and asked to speak to Tabitha. She was deeply concerned with my problem. I could tell she loved her job and was there for her patients. She emanates a strong caring, concerned, and passionate attitude. I have a great appreciation of nurses for what they do, and I was so amazed with Tabitha that I went and bought her a yellow rose. That made her day. She has made this old man very relieved that he has such a caring nurse taking care of him. She can make a bad day a great one. She can surely make someone's heart warm. Any one at the care center you mention her name, they smile and say what a great person she is. Receptionist, doctors, and fellow workers. I can not say enough nice things about this amazing nurse.

***

Tabitha works to the top of her license and incorporates up to date protocols in her daily nursing care. At one point there was a patient who was having a reaction to sensorcaine from a cortisone injection provided in the clinic. Tabitha was proactive in addressing the concern with re-positioning, attending to the patient's wishes with a smile/comforting words, and attentively/actively listening to the patient. Tabitha stayed with the patient for the next 1-2 hours keeping close monitoring of any acute changes and providing reassurance, explicit instructions. Tabitha was displaying kindness, compassion, and dedication especially with this patient, but also as part of her everyday interactions.
