In just a few days, Bridgette Visel became an important person for my family. Experiencing challenging times and the loss of a family member is devastating, yet we felt a sense of peace having her as my nana's nurse. As I write this nomination on behalf of my entire family, I cannot put into words the amount of support she gave us. Bridgette answered all of our questions with honesty and clarity, taking extra time to explain things when needed. While this is an expectation of a good nurse, Bridgette did more than just provide exceptional care to my nana; she also cared for the rest of the family with true sincerity. She paused to look at pictures and videos of my nana that we wanted to show her, and gave us hugs when we were overwhelmed. She provided exceptional care with professionalism, grace, and most of all, compassion. I truly feel that she was a blessing to us, and my family wants her to know how much we appreciate her. We hope she continues to be the same light for others during difficult times. My family and I are beyond grateful and want to recognize her and express our gratitude.
