Over the course of the nursing curriculum, Lydia has received recognition for clinical excellence in multiple disciplines, from pediatrics to geriatrics to critical care.  The following are just a few examples of what makes this student deserving:

While caring for an elderly patient, the student noticed some subtle abnormalities in the assessment that had been previously overlooked.  Because of this student’s skills, the patient was diagnosed and treated early for what could have progressed to a life-threatening illness.

In addition, the following comments were made about this student by the senior practicum precepting nurse: “The student is absolutely amazing, and I have recommended her to our Chief Nursing Officer.”  

Faculty, nursing staff, and peers have said the student is a leader and actively looks for ways to share the Gospel with her patients and coworkers.  Lydia is an advocate for patients and shows compassion to each and every one. 

She has a joyful spirit with a heart for serving others that is undeniable.
