When we first arrived at the hospital, Karolynn greeted us. She was so welcoming and excited to meet us. As the night went on and labor intensified, Karolynn was so helpful in giving encouragement and helping me through contractions. The next day baby still had not come and Karolynn’s shift started in the evening. She came with such great energy and encouragement. As the night went on, my progress with my VBAC was not going well. After many hours of labor, I was ready to push and Karolynn was the best coach to have. She told me exactly what I needed to do and what to look for. She stayed by my side the whole time and gave such a positive energy. Once we made the decision that labor and pushing was not going to work because of some internal stuff, I became very discouraged and disappointed in myself. Through some tears from me, Karolynn looked me in the eyes and shared how well I had done and how hard I worked and that even though this was not what the plan was, God was watching over me and He had us in His hands. She encouraged me saying that this was the best thing for me and baby. She was so beyond helpful with everything during and after surgery. I can say confidently that I love this woman because she showed us so much love (even though she only knew us for 2 days). Such an incredible lady!
