Ester made her stay here more comfortable with her gentle touch, and her sweet smile won my grandmother over.
There aren't enough good things that my family and I can say about Ester. My fragile, stubborn, and sweet grandmother came in with a complete heart block and needed a pacemaker. She was admitted to the ICU for monitoring until we could proceed with the procedure. Ester since Day 1 showed nothing but kindness, compassion and empathy for my grandmother and my family. As we navigated the unknown, Ester was there every step of the way, efficiently communicating with the doctors, getting orders placed, communicating with the cardiologist and all other medical providers as part of my grandmother's care team, and keeping us informed.

My grandmother was terribly afraid of being in the hospital. She complains about the beds and how they aren't comfortable enough for her, hates giving up her independence, and still does everything herself. Ester made her stay here more comfortable with her gentle touch, and her sweet smile won my grandmother over. As much as she hated being in the hospital, she was happy that Ester was her nurse again on Day 2 because she felt very safe and comfortable under her care. She even worked well over her long 12-hour shift to make sure everything was taken care of and prepped for her transfer to the acute care unit. All of this is to say we appreciate her hard work and her kind soul. Thank you so much, Ester; my family, grandmother, and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you for making my grandmother smile while she was admitted.
