Because of Nurses like Lea, we all live in a happier and healthier world. Her selflessness and dedication are second to none.
P-Passion/Compassion:
It takes a special person to be a nurse, but having Nurse Lea made all the difference. Her guidance, patience, care, and compassion definitely helped me a lot during my journey to getting Peritoneal Dialysis (PD).
E-Empathy in the Situation:
Lea empathized with me when the first procedure did not work for PD. She tried to pray with me and gave me the courage to fight because my kidney was failing. After a second procedure, things worked out, and now I am doing PD because of her full support; I am thankful!
T-Trust in Teamwork:
Lea works well with other nurses. I have seen her working hard to help fellow nurses. I spent quite a lot of time training with her for Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and she is very good at communicating with my doctor.
A-Admirable attributes possessed:
Lea has a big heart for Veterans. There are times when everyone is gone, but she is still assisting me with the PD session and felt bad that she ends up working outside her work hours-she says it's okay because she wants to pay back Veterans for all the sacrifices they give to the country.
L-Love for the patient and Nursing profession:
There is no doubt that Lea loves her patients and saving lives of her patients. She is understanding, caring, and loving when it comes to her patients- she always makes sure I am well taken care of. She is amazing at what she does.
S-Selflessness:
Because of Nurses like Lea, we all live in a happier and healthier world. Her selflessness and dedication are second to none. She is always going above and beyond. There are times that we are doing a PD session all day, and she would not leave me to eat. She's always there for me, prioritizing my needs and monitoring me. I have never seen a nurse work as hard as her. I am very thankful that she is my PD nurse because she is truly an amazing nurse. Thank you so much, Lea.
