Thank you for your hard work and compassionate feelings in tending to me in my time of crisis and helping my family cope and understand what was happening those three days.
I was admitted to the ICU with complications from a wound I received as I was shutting my car door. After being admitted to the ER, I was moved to the ICU.

I would like to thank the medical personnel in the ER for their kind a compassionate treatment and recognizing the fact that I needed care that was more than they could provide.

Once in my room, the Doctors, nurses, techs, housekeepers, and even the food delivery people were all amazing.

I would like to give special recognition to one nurse in particular: Jennifer Coleman, ICU nurse. She went above and beyond her nursing duties while she was attending to my critical illness. She was a kind and compassionate individual to my family and close friends. She was a nurse first and foremost. However, she was an individual who tended to my family's needs and wishes with true, heartfelt intentions. She helped my daughter and son cope with the best treatment for me and, most importantly, gave me some quality minutes to communicate with my husband. At some time during Jennifer's care of me, she told my children that she "felt compelled to take care of me this weekend." I truly believe Jennifer was sent to take care of me by my Guardian Angel.

Unfortunately, at my young age of 92, my condition was just too much for me to handle. However, my time in my room with all the ICU personnel and especially Jennifer tending to my comfort and care and my family, I thank you. She is one person I will never forget and that is why I would like to have her honored as a DAISY Nurse.

Thank you for your hard work and compassionate feelings in tending to me in my time of crisis and helping my family cope and understand what was happening those three days. On that Sunday, it started out rainy and windy, but when it was my time, the sun came out in all its full glory and made a beautiful day.

Thank you, Jennifer Coleman. You will always be remembered.

My best friend of over 50 years was admitted to Gulf Coast Hospital with multiple medical issues caused by sepsis due to a wound on her leg. M was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and my best friend.

When she was in the emergency room, it became apparent that her body was failing and that she needed more intensive medical intervention. She was moved to the ICU and the medical personnel did everything that they could to help her through this crisis.

Eventually, it became necessary for her husband of almost 71 years and her son and daughter to make a difficult decision about her care. The decision of her family was to make her comfortable and allow her final hours to be pain-free and with her loving family.

I say all of this to give praise to Jennifer Coleman as the angel of support, not only to M, but also to her family and friends. Jennifer is a nurse extraordinaire whom God placed with my friend that weekend.

Her comfort and compassion were incredible. She always knew what M needed and every member of the family. To see her tears as she watched M's husband say his goodbyes to the love of his life was moving.

Please honor her on behalf of the family and friends of M!
