Trisha is passionate about leadership heading up JRMC’s Leadership Development Institute, a program designed to elevate the art of leadership within the hospital.
Trisha Jungels demonstrates exceptional leadership every day at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Trisha serves as JRMC’s Chief Nursing Officer and she has led many projects designed to enhance patient care and elevate the practice of nursing and the art of leadership.
A few examples of this include leading and implementing a telestroke program to assure patients are receiving Neurologic expertise at critical times when minutes count during a suspected stroke, guiding her teams as they plan and (eventually surveyed) to achieve the ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation, and planning JMRC’s Cancer Center so the region has care available locally.

She also has a focus on placing the patient at the center of all discussions as she coaches and develops her teams at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Finally, Trisha leads by example to enhance and build her profession and increase the profile of both nursing and JRMC within the community, region, and state. She serves as secretary/treasurer of the North Dakota Organization of Nurse Leaders, supports the Student Nurse of the Year program, is an MSU-Bottineau Nursing Advisory Board member, Eventide Advisory Council Charter, Community Health Needs Assessment, as well as a local School Board Member.
It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I nominate Trisha Jungels for the NDHA DAISY Nurse Leader of the Year. She truly exemplifies leadership in nursing.
