After learning about my medical and financial situation, Benedicta went out of her way to treat me with empathy, like family.
I was admitted to Charing Cross Hospital for feeling severe pain, which was eventually diagnosed as cancer. As a foreign student who was actually in London for an exchange program, I was lost, confused, and anxious upon the breaking of such news, as well as what I should do to get myself treated. After learning about my medical and financial situation, Benedicta went out of her way to treat me with empathy, like family. From making sure I was getting timely medical appointments to assisting me in securing medical reports for my surgery back in my home country, Benedicta did all she could to help me get well, and I felt so blessed to be under her care. Without Benedicta, it would have been impossible to smoothly transition my treatment back in my home country, and I am so greatly indebted to her care and assistance. I hope that, to the best of my capacity, there is something that I can do for Benedicta to thank her from the bottom of my heart for all the nurturing care that she has given to me. I sincerely hope that The DAISY Award can be bestowed on her to acknowledge her outstanding devotion to nursing.
