She let me vent. I was able to talk, and she listened, and I felt like she cared about what and why I was feeling this way on my darkest days. She was my hope in life.
Kathy received two nominations from one patient and one family member.

The family member wrote, “Kathy has been an exemplary nurse. She has always been there to help with a smile. My husband’s stay was made better by her care. The whole staff was great, making his stay so much better. I want to give kudos to your whole staff, but most importantly, I want to thank Mrs. Kathy. Please never let any of your staff leave.”

A patient wrote, “I would like to thank Ms. Kathy for being my nurse and becoming my friend. She healed me holistically. I am 39 years old, and I first came to rehab when I had my leg amputated. I had lost all hope in life. Ms. Kathy was God sent. She was that listening ear. She was non-judgmental and I was able to talk to her freely. She let me vent. I was able to talk, and she listened, and I felt like she cared about what and why I was feeling this way on my darkest days. She was my hope in life. This is Ms. Kathy’s calling; she needs to keep on nursing because she is making a difference. Words can’t express the gratitude I am feeling. Thanks.”

That patient’s sister wrote, “Dear Ms. Kathy, I would like to thank you for helping my sister find her strength and her healthy path. Thank you for taking your time to give her the best care. I would like to say thank you... from the bottom of my heart. You definitely were God sent, and you’re an angel on earth.”
