Byron spearheaded the monoclonal antibody infusions and had the Intermediate Care area inspected and brought up to specifications (negative pressure) so our community could receive this potentially lifesaving medication.
Byron has grown tremendously in his leadership journey. He's a servant leader who digs his heels in to get patients and employees what they need. Byron was an integral part of our community COVID-19 response here at Providence Hospital. Byron was asked if the Emergency Department could administer monoclonal antibodies and quickly answered, "Absolutely, we can!" This was a major undertaking for the ED and its staff. Byron spearheaded the monoclonal antibody infusions and had the Intermediate Care area inspected and brought up to specifications (negative pressure) so our community could receive this potentially lifesaving medication. Nearly 5,000 doses of monoclonal antibodies were administered to our community.
Most recently, Providence was challenged with associates having access to BLS & ACLS certification and renewal. Byron was approached by the CNO, since he was a certified instructor, to obtain a partnership with a Training Center to be able to provide these certs. Byron graciously embraced and followed through on training numerous associates/physicians without any complaint. He did this several times at night, and at times, that was very inconvenient. But Byron did it with a smile and never complained.
