Katie is an amazing & special nurse. My husband was patient, and we were scared and upset. This nurse immediately made us feel comfortable and showed she really cared. I observed the ease as she performed her duties while answering all our questions. She exemplifies the meaning of compassionate nursing and is a blessing. We are eternally grateful to her and want her to be recognized as exceptional and outstanding.

My husband was a patient. This nurse explained everything so we understood. When we rang the call light she was prompt to answer it. She encouraged my husband to do everything PT had taught him. She made our hospital stay pleasant and always had a smile. You could tell she is a dedicated nurse.

She always took the time to answer my questions, and she has enough integrity to say, “I do not know.” She explains procedures clearly. I feel like she really cares and has your comfort needs in mind. She is a great combination of knowledge, caring, and humor.

This nurse was exceptional at explaining information, as I am non-medical. She is knowledgeable and friendly and goes out of her way to help. Nothing seems to throw her. She is incredible, skilled, and capable, and she is an asset to Union General Hospital.
