I am comforted to know I have a professor who supports us as students and respects us as future coworkers - meaning he wants us to succeed.
Prof. Kidd is unlike any other classroom educator I have experienced. He has an explicit passion for teaching and it shows in his work. I am so thankful that he is teaching my Care of Complex Conditions class during my senior one semester. As the title of the class suggests, this class requires lots of critical thinking. David Kidd has put so much thought into how this class is taught. He encourages students to think and hypothesize about real-world and NCLEX scenarios, all while maintaining a light-hearted and judgement-free environment. He consistently gives his time and resources for students to come into office hours, one on one meeting, and after class discussions. I am not yet finished with this class and I already feel more confident in my critical thinking skills and abilities to make connections between different disease processes and how they affect the body as a whole. This has solidified my desire to be a nurse and makes me feel aptly prepared. At the very least, I am comforted to know I have a professor who supports us as students and respects us as future coworkers - meaning he wants us to succeed. I am forever grateful to have a thoughtful, challenging, and purposeful nursing professor.
