Jennifer Shirley is such a wonderful, kind, and compassionate person. She is such a team player and always lets other disciplines know when there is a concern about a resident. She is so patient- centered and her love of these kids truly comes through in her work.
Talk to Jennifer and she will either have an answer or find the answer for me. I can always count on her to do things properly and go through the right channels to get things done. Jennifer is hardworking, so friendly, generous, understanding and you can really see her heart in her work.
I always look forward to seeing her smiling face and speaking with her whenever she is working.
She is soft spoken and lovely, and I believe because of that others may overlook her, but she deserves recognition. She is exceptional and should be celebrated.

When one of our residents exhibited some abnormal signs of stress and discomfort, Jennifer immediately went into action. She began a thorough evaluation head to toe and began to advocate for this resident to be transported to the emergency room immediately. When the situation began to slow down, she did everything to get the process picked up and pushed into the forefront of things and saw that things were taken care of completely and correctly. Having worked with many nurses I have never felt a sense of sincerity, concern, compassion and competency. Jennifer knows her stuff and puts everything into getting and providing our resident into the most capable hands outside of her own. Today I was introduced to someone I am very proud to call a co-worker and a member of this team. I feel she certainly saved a life & made the correct call. She is what the standard of nursing is, should be, acts and looks like.
