I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and my doctor was trying to let me have a natural delivery like I wanted, as the baby needed to come out soon. We started the process of induction and were able to dilate to a 4 and the entire process Clement Chee made sure I understood the situation as fully and completely as possible. He kept me calm, reassured me, educated me, and treated me with so much respect and kindness. As his shift was coming to an end, we were preparing for an epidural and I was terrified. He could tell I was not well and was very scared and although his shift was ending, he chose to stay with me so that I had someone safe to rely on during the injection, since my husband was not allowed in the room. I would not have been able to get the epidural without him there, because I needed someone with me and I needed to feel safe. The fact that he put my fears above his own schedule made me feel as if the patient is really his true priority and I think that is so hard to find in an employee. He even came to check on me after everything and made sure I was okay after everything. He genuinely cares about his patients and knows how to help each of them with their specific needs. I will never forget his kindness and calmness on my scariest day. He’s the best type of person to have on one’s team.
