My stepfather had to be admitted for pneumonia, so we were very worried about his condition. The emergency staff was so kind and willing to explain to us how they were treating his condition. When he was transported to the second floor, he once again had top notch care. Every person we came into contact with was willing to meet all of my stepfathers needs as well as communicate with him and the family every step of the way. One nurse in particular by the name of Jodie Blume was a sweetheart. My mother and stepfather always liked how she made them feel cared for and tried to ease their mind that everything would be fine. One day I came in to see my parents and saw that Jodie was at my stepfather's bedside feeding him and being so attentive. I could tell such a difference in his demeanor from the previous day and how he joked with her. It made me feel wonderful to know that Jodie was there along with all of the other wonderful nurses who not only cared for my stepfather but for my momma too. Every time my stepfather had a meal, they brought momma one too! There were a couple of times momma needed help and they came to her rescue. I love that! Thank you, Jodie. In the end, my stepfather was at Roane Medical Center for ten days. Never once were we disappointed with the service or care provided. You all are excellent at what you do, and we are very appreciative of Jodie and all of the care received at Roane Medical Center.
