Her unwavering presence and love for my baby were evident in every interaction.
My baby girl was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 at 12 weeks of pregnancy, and the outlook seemed bleak as we approached the delivery. We were prepared for the worst, as the doctors had informed us. Due to my uterus rupturing during delivery, I had to undergo a C-section, and it was during that critical moment that Erika McClure entered our lives. From the instant my baby was born, Erika provided the utmost care for our precious baby.
Without fail, she made it her mission to be my baby’s nurse during every shift. Erika went above and beyond, showering her with thoughtful gifts like stuffed animals and engaging her in delightful Christmas activities to bring joy to her and her momma.
Throughout our time at the hospital, Erika ensured we felt reassured and relieved of any worries. She was present during my baby’s baptism and offered support during her baths. Her unwavering presence and love for my baby were evident in every interaction. This compassionate nurse anticipated our needs and ensured we lacked nothing. They were, by far, the kindest and most supportive nurse we have ever encountered.
Even after our baby was discharged from hospice a few days after birth, Erika continued to keep in touch, checking up on our baby girl. She extended her care and support, even a month later, when our baby sadly passed away due to her condition.

Our entire family holds deep gratitude for Erika and the countless acts of kindness she bestowed upon my baby and our family. Her tremendous love and compassion touched all of our hearts, leaving an indelible impact. Erika truly deserves recognition for their exceptional work and unwavering dedication to their patients.
Thank you, Erika, for your willingness to go above and beyond your call of duty.
