Michelle Ramirez started at Lakewood on 2 West Telemetry floor, then moved to ICU and later transferred to CCU to train as an open heart nurse. Today she is a relief charge nurse for CCU and an experienced open heart nurse. She can handle the most critical patient assignments. She is calm under pressure and has good judgment in crisis situations. She is a super-user for our EMR system, is a preceptor for new employees, and trains critical care nurses to care for open heart surgery patients. She is a team player and her colleagues enjoy working with her. She has a positive attitude. The patients and families all have positive things to say about her. She develops a good rapport with her patients. She's warm and caring and families trust her. If you ask any doctor how Michelle is as a nurse, they will tell you she's excellent!
