I am nominating Michelle for the DAISY Award because she is an exceptionally kind, caring, and compassionate nurse. I recently suffered a miscarriage and Michelle was my nurse in the ER. She was extremely genuine, thoughtful and caring throughout my entire experience. I was obviously going through a lot physically, emotionally and mentally and she took the time to take care of me in all of these areas. She felt like an angel sent specifically for me in a dark moment of my life. I could never thank her enough for the care and compassion that she showed me during such a difficult situation. I also work with Michelle as an employee of TriState. Michelle does a great job of educating her community about trauma prevention and I have been honored to attend her trainings at the local school district as she teaches about the importance of being prepared for different emergency situations. I have always been blown away by her professionalism, drive, and dedication to improving the health of our community from a colleague standpoint and now I have a new appreciation for her from a patient perspective. She truly cares for her patients, colleagues, and community. I believe that Michelle embodies what it means to be a DAISY Nurse.
