Paige Smith was my husband’s nurse for three of the most stressful days. We were about a week in, and he was on a roller coaster as everyone (ICU, Transplant, Specialists, RN’s) tried, adjusted, tried again and repeated. I was alone, Terrified and it was the post-holiday lull, and it was quite evident that we would be in for the long haul. Paige talked to me, comforted me, reassured me, distracted me and all around took care of me! All of this while she was really taking care of my husband. She would check in on us even when she was assigned elsewhere. She made me feel like we mattered! All your staff at Porter have been amazing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
