My wife was induced. It is our first child and we were nervous, excited, and had lots of questions. The nursing staff and especially Shayna Hanks did an outstanding job answering our questions. They were more supportive than we could have ever imagined. My wife, like most mothers, was very anxious about first delivery. Shayna was extremely comforting to the experience. We had gone through the steps inducing delivery. Shayna was there through the entire delivery process. She was comforting, had us very well prepared and confident. Things moved shockingly fast during labor and Shayna was there while we awaited the OB. We joked that the baby might beat the doctor! The room was being set up for imminent delivery, my wife was well cared for, and everything was set up calmly but very swiftly at her direction. She made a scary foreign process seem like a walk in the park. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional nurse at that time. We had casual conversation during the whole process that eased our minds. My wife looked at me after delivery and actually said, “That was much more pleasant of an experience than I could have imagined.” Shayna is a professional. She made my wife feel like a rock star. Before we left the hospital, my wife said we need to give a stellar review or feedback in some form. Thank you Shayna for being amazing at your job and supportive to us!
